Ciudad de los Malditos

The title refers to a fictional book in the novel El Juego del Ángel by Carlos Ruiz Zafón[1]. The music is not descriptive of events or characters in that book because its content remains unknown. It simply reflects the imagined atmosphere which ‘city of the doomed’ conjures up. In that respect it could just as well be the score to an imagined film script.

‘Overture’ hints at a potential opera based on the story in Zafón’s book.
