Retrospectively

A series of events around my 80th birthday in November 2018 took place in the Netherlands, including the premiere of the Sonata for piccolo and piano, which also enjoys a performance in my hometown of Tetbury, UK; and of Peregrination for Reed Quintet (Calefax).

The musicians: Jan Hage (organ), the Calefax Reed Quintet, Ralph van Raat (piano), Ilonka Kolthof (piccolo), Joy Lisney (cello) and myself (piano).

22 July – Jan Hage plays the complete Jets d’Orgue in the Grote of St Bavokerk in Haarlem during the International Haarlem Organ Festival.

25 November – premiere of Peregrination by the Calefax Reed Quintet – Bonnefanten Museum, Maastricht.

6 December – Calefax Reed Quintet plays Peregrination in Tivoli Vredenburg, Utrecht

15 March – Ilonka Kolthof and Ralph van Raat play Sonata for piccolo & piano in the Goods Shed, Tetbury, UK

13 April – Ilonka Kolthof and Ralph van Raat play Sonata for piccolo & piano in Adams Fluit Festival, Ittervoort, the Netherlands.
